Reception
Amanda
In September 2007, Amanda joined True Wellness Centers & Spas. She graduated from James H. Groves High School in 2002 and is currently continuing her education at University of Delaware with interest in photography. She resides in Delaware but has family in Pennsylvania. Amanda enjoys listening to music including live shows, watching movies, and spending time with all of her friends. She also likes watching football, playing pool, traveling, and taking lots of pictures along the way! Her favorite thing about working at True Wellness Centers is helping patients feel and look their best. She enjoys working with such a great group of people!
Erica
Erica joined the True Wellness staff in March 2008. She is originally from Wilmington, Delaware but was raised in Middletown, Delaware. In 2003, Erica graduated from Middletown High School and continued her education with a Criminal Justice major at Wilmington University for 3 1/2 years. She hopes to attend Dawn Training Center this winter to become a licensed aesthetician. In her free time, Erica like to exercise, read, shop, spend time with my family & friends, play with my puppy,and will some day travel around the world! Her favortie aspects of working at True Wellness Centers & Spas is meeting new people. Erica enjoys being surrounded with positive people and positive energy. It is her goal to make sure that every spa guest is welcomed as part of the family and leaves feeling and looking fabulous!!
Jessica
Jessica joined True Wellness Centers & Spas in February 2007. She graduated with honors from Christiana High School in 2000. In 2006, she graduated from Deep Muscle Therapy School as a Certified Massage Therapist, and will be licensed soon. Jessica has lived in Delaware all her life - she currently lives with her two close friends, Dominic and John. She has a chinchilla named Stewie and a pitbull named Chance. She enjoys sketching, painting, or anything else creative. She also loves nature so whenever she gets a chance she takes long hikes in the woods. Jessica is excited to be a team member because it helps further her education in wellness. In addition, she loves the positive and motivational atmosphere True Wellness Centers brings to others.
Sarah
Sarah joined True Wellness Centers & Spas in October 2007, she was born and raised in New Castle, Delaware. In 2003, she graduated from William Penn High School and from Dawn Training Centre in March 2007 with a Legal Assistant Diploma. Sarah enjoys country music, dancing, movies, shopping, and anything Disney. She likes to spend time with her family, especially her three baby nieces, and close friends. She enjoys working at True Wellness Centers because of the positive atmosphere. The doctors, staff and especially the patients are always a pleasure to be around.
Billing
Holly
Born and raised in Newark, Delaware. She currently resides in Newark with her Shiztsu, Belle. Holly graduated from Glasgow High School in 1989 and immediately began working in the chiropractic field. She has 20 years of chiropractic billing experience. Holly became a member of the True Wellness Centers & Spas team in May 2007. Her favorite hobbies include photography, scrapbooking, crafts, shooting pool, and going to the beach, and watching hockey (Go Flyers!). Holly feels that the doctors and staff of True Wellness Centers are energetic and motivated about health care and wellness. She states "it is refreshing to be part of a such an organized, caring, and positive team."
Consuela
Consuela was born and raised in Delaware and currently lives in Bear with her son, Jordan. She enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as shopping, singing, traveling, music, and motorcycles. Consuela is a Christian and attends church in Newark. She has worked in the medical field for most of her working career. She joined True Wellness Centers & Spas in September 2007. She loves to help others and educate them about being well and living well. She can do just that working with the True Wellness staff who care about wellness in all forms.
Bookkeeper
Joanne
A native Delawarean, Joanne grew up in Middletown and graduated from Tatnall School and Smith College. Over the years, Joanne has experienced various vocational opportunities while living in several states. Among the positions she has held are those of a teacher, medical office manager, court clerk, real estate associate, broker, and most recently bookkeeper in chiropractic practices. Away from the office, Joanne is involved in gardening, weeding, daily exercising, meeting friends, or just plain enjoying her home.
Joanne looks forward to being associated with Dr. Marks and Dr. West as they pursue the goal in providing services that contribute to the health and wellbeing of people who come into True Wellness Centers and to the new spa.
Rehabilitation/Therapy
Lauren
Lauren graduated with an Associates Degree in Science in 1992. She also became a certified chiropractic assistant in 1998. Lauren has been working with chiropractors since 1996 and has worked at True Wellness Centers & Spas since February 2004. Lauren in originally from Long Island, New York and moved to Delaware in 1998. She and her husband, Craig, have 2 Shetland Sheepdogs named Basil and Willow. They also have a cat named Claude. She enjoys yoga, painting, and drawing. She especially loves traveling abroad with her husband. In February 2007, she became a Certified Yoga Instructor. Lauren enjoys being part of a team that helps the public understand the importance of maintaining a healthy spine and lifestyle.
Erin C.
Originally from Texas, Erin, her sister and parents moved to Delaware to be closer to their family in 1999. Erin graduated from St. Marks High School in 2002. In October 2007, Erin became a member of the True Wellness Centers & Spas team. She enjoys photography, movies, music, going out to eat, and spending time with family, friends, and her boyfriend, Dan. Erin loves to help people-- joining True Wellness Centers has motivated her to further her education in the health care field.
Aestheticians
Shelley
Shelley is a Delaware native. She graduated from William Penn High School in 2000. In 2005, she earned a Bachelors degree from University of Delaware. In October 2006, she attended the Dawn Training Center for advanced aesthetics where she studied and trained in a wide variety of skin care techniques. Her expertise extends from facials, peels, waxing, microdermabrasion, Intense Pulsed Light treatments, product knowledge and chemistry as well as advanced skin analysis and many procedures.
She began working at True Wellness Centers in October 2007 and is very excited to work at the new location in Newark. Her favorite hobbies include shopping, hanging out with friends and family, and spending time at the beach at her family's beach home. Shelley enjoys working at True Wellness Centers & Spas where everyone has the same goal of making each and every patient feel their best. She feels that not only should you feel great on the inside but you should feel and look great on the outside!
Kim
Originally from Conowingo, MD, Kim graduated from Perryville High School in 2000, Schilling Douglass School of Hair Design in 2005 for Cosmetology, then Dawn Training Centre in 2007 for Advanced Medical Aesthetician. Kim has 3-years experience in aesthetics/cosmetology - her expertise extends from facials, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, intense pulse light, advanced skin analysis,waxing, manicures, pedicures and product knowlege.
Her hobbies include spending time at the beach, jet-skiing, snowboarding, hanging out with friends and family, going to the movies and traveling. Kim began working as an aesthetician and nail technician for True Wellness Centers & Spas in February 2008. She enjoys working where everyone is so positive and ready to get patients feeling and looking there best. Kim loves to help people feel beautiful! She wants to see them happy, refreshed and renewed when they leave.
Marketing
Kristina
Kristina graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Delaware in May 2004. She began working for True Wellness Centers & Spas in June 2004 assisting patients in the rehabilitation department. Kristina married her high-school sweetheart, Alex. They reside in Newark with their beagle, Snickers. After the birth of her son, Alexander in March 2007, Kristina returned to head up the internal marketing department. Her interests include shopping, listening to music, dancing, watching football games (Go Eagles!) & NASCAR races. She especially enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Kristina is proud to be a member of the True Wellness Centers team using her knowledge and creativity to enlighten patients about the importance of wellness care.
Erin S.
Erin graduated from the University of Delaware in May 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She began working for True Wellness Centers & Spas in November 2007 where she is able to pursue her true passion as a nurse - preventive care! While working in a hospital, Erin realized that health promotion and wellness are the most significant factors in maintaining health. She joined the True Wellness team in hopes to educate the community on living healthier and exploring natural alternatives for total body wellness. Erin enjoys spending time with her fiance, Peter, family and friends, traveling, watching movies, and loving life. She is happy and excited to be on-board with such a great group of people who are all focused on helping improve the quality of life.
Massage Therapists
Patricia Patricia majored in Physical Therapy at the University of Delaware. Then, she graduated from the Institute of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, where she studied massage, Chinese cupping, Reiki, and more. As a Licensed Massage Therapist, Patricia joined True Wellness Centers & Spas in August 2007. Originally from Wilmington, Delaware, Patricia resides near Rising Sun, Maryland with her husband, Ed. They have two grown sons, Eric and Ryan.
Her interests include spending time with family, cooking, domestic and foreign travel (by car or motorcycle) and to North Myrtle Beach. She exercises religiously (both cardio and strength training) and has instructed for several years. She also loves staying current on nutrition and health supplements. Patricia enjoys working with the massage and rehabilitation patients and using different modalities at True Wellness Centers to address each patient's needs while adding encouragement and generous doses of humor.
Kristine
Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Kristine grew up in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. She currently resides in Delaware with her husband and her twins, Kelly and Sean. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from University of Delaware. In March 2007, she became a part of the True Wellness Centers & Spas team as a Licensed Massage Therapist. Kristine's favorites include swimming and tandem cycling. She also spends much of her time taking care of her twins. Kristine enjoys helping patients regain their independence and improve their state of well-being through massage.
Transportation Drivers
Harold
Originally from a small working farm in Staunton, VA, which is the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, Harold moved to Delaware after being discharged from the Navy. Harold graduated from Goldey Beacom College with a degree in Management. He is retired from the trucking business. His favorite hobbies or interests are model trains, traveling within the country, and good food. Harold began working at True Wellness Centers transporting patients in August 2007. He feels that True Wellness Centers is not like a job, his favorite aspect is the great group of people he works with.
Dave
Born in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, Dave went to Alma White Prep School. He enlisted in the Air Force and trained for six months at Medium Jet Bomber Tech School, then was posted to Spangdahlem Airbase in Germany as Crew Chief on RF-80 T-Bird. Dave married his wife in Trier, Germany by the Burgermeister in August 1956. They had a son in 1957. They returned to the States, and Dave worked for Eastern Air Lines for five years. He then bought a truck and did what he really wanted to do, drive! His trucking experience lasted for 43 years. His other favorite hobbies include working around the house and garden. Dave resides in Townsend with his wife and two cats, Mr. Purr-o and Zoe, both are recovering strays.
Dave became a member of True Wellness Centers in November 2007. He loves his job of meeting new people and transporting them. He also enjoys working with the most dedicated and caring staff.
